Donkey Rescues the Kitten in the Maze

A logic game for children on phone, tablet and computer. The donkey sets off from the house, looks for the kitten in a maze and goes back home with it. Every level is a new maze, a little bigger and harder than the last.

4–6Before you start

  • For children aged 4–6. Also for playing together with an adult. The age rating comes from the game’s authors; it is not an official classification.
  • Time limit. After 15 minutes of play, the game takes a break. A parent can unlock it by typing a number written in words as digits.
  • Music and sounds. The game has calm music and sounds. You can turn them off on the start screen and in the game menu.
  • Privacy. The game saves and sends nothing. There are no accounts, ads or cookies.
Start the gameOpen in a separate window for your child

The game opens on a separate page. Use your browser’s Back button to return here. The game needs JavaScript.

How to play

  1. First, dress the donkey in one of the shirts.
  2. The donkey sets off from the house. Find the kitten in the maze: when the donkey reaches it, the kitten follows.
  3. Go back home with the kitten.
  4. The “Hint” button shows the way with the kitten’s paw prints.

Child mode

At the start, the game always asks a parent whether to turn on child mode. In child mode the game goes full screen, hides the link to the website and asks before closing or leaving the page. Only a parent’s answer can turn it off. The “Open in a separate window for your child” button opens the game in a window without the website’s navigation; on a phone, in a new tab.

iPhone does not let websites go full screen. To keep your child in the game, turn on Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access) and start it by pressing the side button three times.

Controls

Phone and tablet
Hold an arrow button or your finger on the maze and the donkey walks that way. Let go and it stops.

Game languages: Polish, English, French and Spanish. The game picks your browser language; you can change it on the start screen and in the menu.

How the game was made

A child came up with the game and drew it: the donkey, the kitten, the house, the walls, the ground, the paw prints and the shirts. Dad helped put it together in Claude Code and bring the drawings into the game.
